3 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T LISTEN TO YOUR MIND

It could be secretly sabotaging you!

Have you ever had the feeling that your life is somewhat on autopilot? You're going through the motions each day doing what you think you 'should' do rather than what you actually want to be doing?

It's time to stop.

Stop doing all the 'should's' and listening to your mind.

Here's why:

1. The should's put your light out

Your inner light which is your flame inside, your soul, gets lit up when you do things that you love. Conversely, it gets dulled when you do things that you think you ‘should’ do, but don't really love and don't energise you afterwards.

Anything to do with your physical or mental health is an exception.

Your mind will trick you into thinking you don't want to do those activities, but you know you always feel better afterwards. So use that as a litmus test.

Do I feel energised or drained afterwards? If you feel drained, then ask yourself, what could I do differently?

2. You can't be in flow when you're not aligned

Flow is the state you get into where time stands still.

You're so in the moment, you stop watching the clock and hours go by and you don't even notice.

You get into this state when you're aligned. Aligned doing what makes your heart sing not what your mind says you 'should' be doing.

Think about those activities during your day that boost your energy. Like talking to a colleague about something personal rather than work or going for a walk in the sunshine.

Anything that allows your mind to focus completely and gives you energy afterwards.

3. Chasing money will always lead to disappointment

If you're doing a job just for the money, you will always be disappointed with the outcome.

Reason being - there is an endless supply of money and your mind will have you chasing that 'dream' like a dog chasing a rabbit.

It will never give up because there is no end. And you will be on the merry go round to hard work, exhaustion and dissatisfaction because you're not fulfilling your soul’s highest intention.

You're simply working to pay for a lifestyle, but that lifestyle won't 'mean' anything unless you're doing something worthwhile with it.

You can have the fanciest car, biggest house, best clothes etc... and feel completely empty inside because you're only doing it to satisfy your ego and bank balance.

If you're not connected to others, developing meaningful relationships and helping people in even the smallest ways, your soul will feel an emptiness.

So what's the remedy to fill up your soul's cup?

Tune into yourself. Feel all the feelings that you know are inside irrespective of how uncomfortable they may be.

Feel into who you really are, whether you like what you see or not. Move towards yourself rather than hiding, avoiding or running away.

Make the tough calls.

Feel the fear and do it anyway.

At the end of the day,

it's never too late to be who you really are.
